Meet the administrative team behind The Greatest Wildlife Photographer – Kenya. The team. including the judges, is the heartbeat of the competition, and they donate their time and expertise to keep it running.
SAM BAILYN
Head of Operations
Based in the United States, Sam took on the role of Head of Operations when the competition relaunched in 2025. Since then, he’s worked with a number of safari lodges and the judges to bring the competition back, expanding the Safari Partner network, bringing in new Conservation Partners, writing for travel publications, and scaling the competition nationally.
LINUS RAPHAELY
Head of Technology
Born in New York City with South African roots, Linus joined the competition at its relaunch in 2025, creating its technical side while running the social media and finances. Linus has played a key role in the revitalization of the competition, working alongside the rest of the team to turn the The Greatest Wildlife Photographer – Kenya’s dreams into reality.
